Our Portland Team

• Dr. Kelly Blodgett

  As the first dentist to introduce numerous technologies to the Portland market, I have become the recognized leader in Minimally-Invasive Dentistry, Dental Lasers and digital integration into dental practices. Incorporated into our new, state-of-the-art clinical facility is a learning center where we teach other dentists about the benefits that dental technologies provide for patients.

  I strive to provide an unsurpassed level of service, value and quality. It has become my passion to provide the highest level of minimally-invasive care possible in dentistry. I like people, am committed to high ethical standards, communicate well, and provide unselfish service. Through my own practice and continuing dental education, I expect to have a fulfilling and dynamic career in oral health care.

  On the personal side, I am a native Oregonian and attended grade school through high school in Southwest Portland. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon, and completed my pre-doctoral sciences at Portland State University. I attended the OHSU School of Dentistry and graduated in June of 1999.

  As a General Practice Resident at the Portland VA Medical Center I performed varied periodontal surgeries, surgical extractions and endodontic treatments that helped develop skills to encompass all aspects of adult and children’s dentistry.

  My wife, Julie, and I have been married for 12 years and have two beautiful daughters: Sara, who is four and one-year-old Megan. We live in Southwest Portland, just up the street from my high school alma mater, Wilson High School.

• Tami Brandsasse

  I joined Blodgett Dental Care three years ago, and what I enjoy most as a member of Dr. Blodgett’s wonderful team are the personal relationships I have with our patients. I feel fortunate to be a part of this pioneering practice and his unique approach to dental care.

  I grew up in California but spent many years traveling with the military which eventually lead me to call Portland my official, permanent home.

  I have a fifteen-year-old son and spend most of my free time with family and friends. I like to travel, bike and cook. My continual goal is personal growth.

• Jeanette Kingsley

  I really enjoy working for Blodgett Dental Care because we are focused on giving patients outstanding care and helping them meet all their oral health goals. I look forward to creating a personal relationship with all my patients.

  I have worked in the dental field for the past nine years. I started out as a sterilizing technician then later decided to further my knowledge and become a dental assistant. After a few years I continued my education and graduated from Mt. Hood Community College’s Dental Hygiene program.

  My husband and I have been married for 5 years and are expecting our first child in late February.

• Karen McCormack

  I have been a dental assistant for 15 years and have worked with Dr. Blodgett since he started his practice. Being a member of the Blodgett Dental Care team has given me the unique opportunity to grow as a dental assistant, to learn the latest technologies and maximizing my skills. I enjoy working with our patients and value developing relationships with them as we help achieve their oral health goals.

  I am a North Portland area native, where I graduated from Jefferson High School. I have been married for 27 years and have two wonderful sons, the younger of whom is a Senior at Oregon State University. My older son graduated from OSU and was recently married, bringing to our family a great daughter-in-law. I am enthusiastic about spending time with my family and two dogs and also enjoy cooking, line dancing and cross-stitching.

• Barbara Hansen

  I have been in the dental field for 12 years, with my initial experience being in Orthodontics. I am excited to be a part of such a progressive and upbeat team. I am also excited to be working alongside my hygiene school class-mate, Jeanette. Jeanette and I graduated together from Mt. Hood Community College’s Dental Hygiene School.

  The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping people meet their oral health goals. I also enjoy helping them feel better about their smile in such a comfortable and positive environment.

  I have been married for 8 years. My husband and I enjoy traveling, seeing movies and exploring the outdoors whenever we can. As the newest member of the Blodgett Dental Care team, I look forward to meeting everyone soon!

• Jill West

  I recently became part of the Blodgett Dental Care team as the Patient Relations Specialist in September 2007.

  With several years in the dental field, it is quite exciting to become part of the most technologically advanced dental practice in Portland. My position is quite fulfilling as I strive to provide an exceptional level of service and knowledge to each and every patient.

  I am a native Oregonian, born and raised on the Oregon Coast. I made the transition to the Portland area about 4 years ago and absolutely love it!

  I have a wonderful boyfriend, Jim and two amazing children; Joel, 20 and Alexa, 18. All are great inspirations in my life. Recently, we purchased a home in southeast Portland and are currently in the process of renovating, however, I do enjoy gardening, cycling, and cooking when time allows!
